Kathy Smith, M.S., is Principal of KJ Smith Associates, LLC, a strategic planning and organizational development consultancy that helps leaders create and successfully implement change. Since launching her firm in 2000, Kathy has facilitated groups large and small in innovative program development, alliances, and has strengthened workplace communication, fostered leadership, and catalyzed strategic direction.
Kathy earned a master's degree in public policy and management from the University of Oregon. She completed the Oxford Scenarios Program, is a Standford Certified Project Manager, and holds a certificate in New Product Development from the University of Michigan's Graduate School of business. She has been recorgnized with four Facilitation Impact Awards by the International Association of Facilitators.
Kathy was program facilitator for the iconic Leadership-Springfield program for four years where she focused on emerging leaders' civic involvement and leadership skills development. Clients include education, healthcare sector, economic development organizations, and nonprofit organizations.
